Living

released from Beacon Hill Press in
spring 2006. Her second women’s book,
Power Suit: The Armor of God Fit for the
Feminine Frame (New Hope Publishers)
is scheduled for release soon. She has
served as magazine
co-publisher/editor-in-chief, and is a
professional editor on staff with
Winepress Publishing and The Christian
Communicator Manuscript Critique
Service.
Sharon is
also a popular conference and seminar
speaker. In addition to speaking at
numerous women’s retreats, seminars,
church, and school programs, she is
director of Sandy Cove Christian
Communicators’ Experience held in
Northeast, Maryland, and regularly
serves on the teaching staffs other
major writers’ conferences nationwide.
As founder/CEO of AuthorizeMe, Sharon
instructs a 12-hour intensive seminar
which enables new authors to get their
book idea out of their heads, down onto
paper, in a professional format that is
ready to present to a publisher. Sharon
proudly assists on the CLASSEMINAR staff
as well. She is founder and CEO of Milk
& Honey Life Retreats, a company that
hosts amazing spa get-aways for
Christian women focusing not only on the
rejuvenation of the spirit, soul, and
body, but providing an atmosphere in
which women can clearly hear God’s voice
and launch their personal ministries.
Sharon and
her family are active members of South
Los Angeles Baptist Church where she has
continued her life-long habit of working
in the ministry in several capacities.
She currently serves her church by
teaching the monthly women’s Bible study
and the young adult Sunday school class.
Her other past involvements include
developing a five-month comparative
religion course, and envisioning and
implementing the Emmanuel Youth Learning
Academy, a comprehensive program
designed to instruct children from ages
5 - 18 in the basics of the faith. She
completed a Women in Ministry course,
participated in a Disciple-maker’s
program, and served as church pianist
and Women’s Ministry Director.
Career-wise, Sharon has taught school
for 27 years and currently serves as
Vice Principal and head of the English
Department at South Bay Lutheran High
School in Inglewood, California. She
holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in
Liberal Studies from Biola University.
She, her wonderful husband James, reside
in South Gate, California. They have 4
grown children; Lori, Jerod, Matthew,
and Mark; and three grandchildren,
Taylor, Kameron, and Jerod, Jr.
